Therapy Intensives
Deep, Focused Work for Real Life Change
All pricing below reflects updated rates effective January 1, 2026.
Trauma healing does not always happen in weekly sessions.
Therapy Intensives at Trauma Wise Healing offer extended, structured time to move beyond insight into meaningful processing and integration, without the limitations of shorter, weekly therapy formats.
Extended sessions allow preparation, active trauma processing, and integration to occur within the same visit.
Intensives are ideal when you are ready for deeper work, navigating a significant life transition, or seeking focused momentum in healing.

How Intensives Fit Into Your Care
Option 1 — Stand-Alone Intensive Therapy
Some clients choose intensives as their primary form of therapy when they:
Need focused trauma resolution quickly
Travel frequently or live outside regular licensure states
Prefer fewer but deeper therapy experiences
Are navigating acute transitions or emotional blocks
Follow-up sessions or integration work can be scheduled as needed.
Option 2 — Intensives Alongside Weekly Therapy
Many clients continue working with their existing therapist while attending intensives.
Collaboration may include:
Coordinated treatment planning
Integration support
Communication when appropriate and authorized
This model allows accelerated trauma processing while maintaining continuity of care.
Flexible Scheduling
Intensives are customized around your goals and nervous system capacity.
Clients commonly schedule:
Every 3–6 weeks
Monthly
During significant transitions or stress periods
The structure supports meaningful progress while allowing time for integration between visits.
Modalities Used in Intensives
Intensive sessions may include:
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Somatic Therapy and nervous system regulation
Parts Work and Internal Family Systems-informed approaches

The Trauma Wise Intensive Model
This structured framework ensures that safety, depth, and integration are intentionally built into every intensive. Therapy Intensives at Trauma Wise Healing follow a structured, regulation-focused framework designed to support safe, sustainable trauma integration.
Rather than simply extending session length, intensives are thoughtfully organized into three phases:
1. Preparation & Stabilization
We begin by assessing nervous system readiness and establishing grounding resources. This may include:
Somatic regulation strategies
Resourcing and containment work
Identifying specific trauma targets or relational themes
Clarifying goals and pacing
Safety and stabilization are prioritized before active processing begins.
2. Active Processing
Using modalities such as EMDR, ART, somatic therapy, or parts work, we engage targeted trauma material within a structured and supported container.
Extended time allows:
Focused attention without rushing
Completion of trauma processing cycles
Emotional activation followed by regulation
Depth without abrupt closure
The goal is integration; not overwhelm.
3. Integration & Consolidation
Each intensive includes intentional time for:
Nervous system down-regulation
Meaning-making and reflection
Identifying shifts in beliefs, emotions, or patterns
Developing integration strategies for daily life
Clients leave with clarity, stabilization, and practical tools, not emotional fragmentation.

Client Testimonials Post Intensives:
Client Experience — Trauma Intensive targeting self-worth and family of origin concerns (mix of EMDR and somatic therapy)
“I came into the intensive after already doing a lot of therapy work, and it helped me move deeper into areas that felt stuck. One of the biggest changes I noticed afterward was a significant decrease in nightmares, something that had been happening most nights before. While I’ve continued to navigate seasonal depression, I don’t feel that reflects the effectiveness of the intensive. It helped reduce some core trauma symptoms and gave me more insight into patterns around loss and feeling alone that continue to deepen even after the session.
The intensive felt supportive and thoughtfully structured, and it gave me meaningful progress in a shorter period of time than traditional therapy alone.”

Client Experience — Trauma Intensive around Assault - Processing ART Intensive
“For years I carried a deep emotional weight connected to a traumatic experience from my adolescence; shame, guilt, and reactions that continued to show up in daily life despite previous therapy work.
After a single 2-hour ART intensive, I experienced a profound shift. The emotional charge connected to the memory softened significantly, and I left with a sense of relief and internal clarity that I hadn’t been able to access before.
What surprised me most was how quickly the change translated into everyday life. I felt more present, calmer, and more connected during meaningful moments with my child rather than being stuck in my own thoughts. Experiences that had previously been highly triggering no longer carried the same emotional impact.
The intensive also deepened my compassion toward my younger self and allowed me to view my story through a more empowered lens. The experience felt focused, safe, and deeply effective; and I’m incredibly grateful I gave ART a chance.”
