Frequently Asked Questions About Working Together

Who is a good fit for Trauma Wise Healing?

I work primarily with thoughtful, high-functioning adults, couples, and professionals navigating trauma, identity shifts, burnout, relational strain, or major life transitions.

Many clients appear successful and capable on the outside while carrying unresolved stress, trauma, or emotional fatigue beneath the surface.

This practice is often a strong fit for individuals who:

  • Are emotionally insightful and ready to move beyond awareness into integration

  • Value structured, trauma-informed care

  • Prefer 90-minute sessions or intensive formats

  • Are comfortable with private-pay therapy

  • Want nervous-system-informed modalities such as EMDR, ART, and somatic therapy

Do you accept insurance?

All services are private pay only.

Therapy intensives are not covered by insurance.

What states are you licensed in?

Therapy services are available to clients located in:

WI, IL, IN, IA, OH, PA, SC, MN, FL, CO, VA and NC.

Coaching services are available nationwide and internationally where permitted.

What is the difference between weekly therapy and intensives?

Weekly therapy offers steady, ongoing support.

Intensives provide extended, focused time for trauma processing, nervous system regulation, and deeper integrative work when weekly sessions are not sufficient.

Many clients schedule intensives during transitions, burnout, or when ready to move through stuck trauma patterns more efficiently.

Can I work with you if I already have a therapist?

Yes.

Intensives may be completed alongside ongoing therapy with coordination (with your consent). Many clients use intensives to focus specifically on trauma processing while maintaining regular therapeutic support elsewhere.

Is this therapy or coaching?

Clinical therapy services are provided to clients located in states where I am licensed.

Leadership and life coaching services are available nationwide and are not mental health treatment.

How do I know if I’m ready for trauma processing?

You may be ready if:

  • You feel emotionally stable enough to engage deeper material

  • You want more than insight and are seeking integration

  • You are willing to engage in structured trauma work

Preparation and stabilization are always part of the process. We do not move faster than your nervous system can support.
